Oh that lovable Laughing Cow. In the early 1990′s, when I was residing in Spain, I fell in love with what I believed was an unusual product. When I left Spain to come back home to the Us, I considered I would miss my new favorite snack. To my surprise, when I came home, I discovered this lovable little cheese had crossed over into food markets around my home country. The Laughing Cow is originally from France where its name is La Vache Qui Rit. This joyful, laughing farm creature is created by Fromageries Bel (Bel Cheeses) and is their most popular product. It is made of cream, whole milk, and a mixture of cheeses, but most particularly Comte.

The cheese makers at Bel have added a lot of new flavors over the years. Right now you can consume your laughing cow in all sorts of flavors like ham, mushroom, onion, or pizza.
