Online Literature Summary

If you seek to expand your knowledge and horizons, the internet offers limitless possibilities. You will find millions of guides, articles, lyrics, and books in various genres. If you are looking for specialized literature, you will find guides and articles on various topics, as well as college papers, literary criticism, and more.

Those who look for study guides will find plenty of resources, including review questions, discussion of symbols and themes, author information, etc. Some guides are written by scholars and graduates from Cambridge and Oxford. Those who want to find scholarly pieces of work may check google scholar. The engine displays citations and full article texts. Another option is to use goodle books. You will find readings on different topics, including political science, business and economics, travel, performing arts, and more. You will also find trending topics, classics, literary collections, and magazines. Google books gives you three options and namely, full view, preview, and snippet view. You will find a lot of information here – from related books to where you can buy your book of choice. Another feature you can explore is google news. You can perform searches by month, week, or day, sort by relevance, or explore the archives.

Free online courses also give you the opportunity to learn about literature over the internet. Many of the top universities give online access to their classes. You won’t get credit for them, but they are a great learning opportunity. If you prefer to get credit for attending, you have to contact a college or university of choice and ask about the courses they offer.

You gain access to an unlimited number of learning opportunities. You can find free language courses, multilingual, bilingual, and specialized dictionaries, cooking classes, grammar guides, and many more. BBC Learning, for example, offers classes in English, guidance on parenting and mental health issues, information on how to make short films, and much more.

Another way to go about learning online is to ask your university or local library about the research resources they offer online. Most libraries are subscribed to various magazines, scholarly journals, and other online services. You can browse by book title, article title, journal, and more. Databases you can browse include JSTOR, EBSCO, Science Direct, and Westlaw. Some specialize in a particular sphere, and others are general knowledge databases. A good place to check which databases are available is your university website. You will find library catalogues reading lists, tips on finding information.

If the book you are looking for is not available, you can ask for an intersite loan. You can also request copies of books and items you cannot find in your university’s library collection. Such items include dissertations, conference proceedings, journals, books, and book chapters. You have to fill in a form to order an item. While your university may charge you for this service, the cost may be covered by your department in some cases.
