Storage bins are utilized in many more environments than one would think. A lot of people simply believe that plastic bins are only for use in a warehouse or a parts store. Those people are failing to understand that plastic storage containers can be utilized in any application, no matter who you are or what you do. I’m sure a lot of you didn’t know this, however a lot of world famous professional sports teams use plastic storage containers in their workplace.
I won’t name the names of the teams that have bought plastic bins from us before, but I will tell you that we have sold to two pro baseball teams and one professional football team. The coolest part about these plastic totes is that we were able to sell these teams bins matching their team colors.
When I inquired with the individual making the purchase how the club will take advantage of these plastic bins, I got a varying response from each team.
The first franchise, a baseball team, advised me that they were planning on using the totes to carry a lot of materials that needed to be taken from the clubhouse and into the dugout. They said that one plastic storage container would carry the baseballs for batting and infield practice. The other bin was used to carry the donuts that go around the bats during batting practice.
The next franchise, also a baseball team, notified that they planned on using the plastic storage containers for muddy jerseys in the locker rooms. After playing, athletes would just go into the locker room and throw their muddy jerseys into this bin. Then one of the equipment managers would wheel this huge, mobile plastic bin to the laundry area for washing.
The last sports franchise that bought plastic bins from us was a professional football team. It was actually a trainer from the medical team. He was intending on using these to carry all of his materials in the medical room. He had wall mounted frames and rails set up on the walls, enabling him to keep the ground clean.
These are some examples of how plastic bins can be used by anyone. You don’t have to be a picker in a warehouse to take advantage of the benefit of plastic storage containers.
