Streaming movies from PC to Xbox 360…?
I recently hooked my Xbox 360 to my PC for media sharing, it works fine streaming movies which are reasonably small e.g. a 700Mb file, but i recently got a Blu-Ray movie 1080p movie on my PC and wish to stream it to my 360 to watch in HD, but. It keeps having to keep loading the file over and over again, it would load at first, play for 5-10 seconds then load again and it continuously does this throughout. How can i fix this? is it because my router is quite a distance from my PC and Xbox?
I would greatly appreciate the help of others on this matter as i wish to stream big Blu-Ray movies on my Xbox 360.
Hmmmm you might have a point by removing the Xbox out of the situation, but i don’t think the compatibilty is an issue as it says it is meant to be watched via streaiming to Xbox or PS3 or burnt to disc. Also when watching this movie on my PC, either the video lags, or the audio does.
If your PC can play the movie on it’s local monitor with no issue then just hook your pc to your TV with a VGA cable (you’ll a need a tv with a VGA port, most HDTV’s have one). Leave the xbox out of the equation. If your pc can play the movie with out an issue there is probably a compatibilty issue with the xbox and blue ray. That would make sense considering that Xbox was designed for HD-dvd not Blu-Ray.
